Lucas Boyd is a policy fellow with Evergreen. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in environmental science and management at UCSB’s Bren School, where he specializes in climate and energy. For his thesis project, Lucas researches and analyzes policy that incentivizes natural climate solutions in the Neotropics. He also holds a degree in behavioral neuroscience and spent several years working in international environmental education. Lucas is excited to draw on his diverse experience to advocate for bold climate action alongside Evergreen’s policy team. Originally from Seattle, Lucas currently resides in sunny Santa Barbara. In his free time, you can find him scrambling up a mountain peak, relaxing at the beach, or the perusing the shelves of his neighborhood bookstore.
