In response to the news that a federal court has blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to revoke approval of New York’s wildly successful and popular congestion pricing program, Evergreen Action States Vice President Justin Balik released the following statement:

“This ruling is a resounding affirmation that congestion pricing is here to stay. It confirms what we said all along: the plan was carefully crafted, thoroughly vetted, and fully compliant with federal law. State and city officials crossed every ‘t’ and dotted every ‘i’—and the court agrees.

“Congestion pricing is already delivering cleaner air, faster commutes, and vital funding for public transit. While Trump and his fossil fuel cronies are trying to sabotage it for political gain, the court has made clear: the era of delay and denial is over. They lost the argument with New Yorkers, and now they’ve lost in court. It’s time to end this political hit job for good.”
