Today, Evergreen Action announced Seth Nelson is joining the Evergreen Communications team to lead communications planning and execution for the organization’s federal portfolio.
“Seth’s wealth of experience in strategic communications, campaigns, and public affairs will help us tell the story of what the last four years of historic climate action has meant for real people and shape the narrative of the next phase of climate ambition,” said Evergreen Action Communications Director Holly Burke. “We’re excited to have him joining us at this critical moment for the movement.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join this incredible team of passionate, talented advocates who are leading the fight to put bold climate action at the top of the agenda,” said Evergreen Action Deputy Communications Director Seth Nelson. “Even though we’ve accomplished more together on climate than ever before, thanks in no small part to team Evergreen, we still have so much to do to cement the historic climate progress we’ve achieved and ensure that the next administration can make even greater strides towards a just, thriving clean energy economy. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to help deliver progress on solving the most urgent crisis of our time and building a better future for those who come after us.”
Seth joins Evergreen after a career in public affairs and campaigns, most recently as a vice president of Frontwood Strategies, where he worked on a variety of issues including reproductive rights, housing, education, and climate change. Prior to that, he served as communications director and a spokesperson for the Maine Democratic Party in the critical 2020 election cycle and got his start prior to that at SKDKnickerbocker. Originally from Tennessee, Seth holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School. Seth also serves as a member of the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund Campaign Board and resides in Washington, DC.
