And in order to meet those climate goals—while creating millions of good jobs and achieving greater environmental justice in a prosperous clean energy economy—he must mobilize greater executive and legislative action.

In the first days of his administration, the president launched a “whole of government” agenda that’s aimed to tackle the climate crisis, create millions of good jobs, and build a more just, equitable and prosperous clean energy economy. While the administration made important progress throughout its first year, realizing that full vision requires greater progress in 2022.
It is already clear how major climate investment legislation is critical to achieving President Biden’s climate commitments. However, such legislation by itself won’t be sufficient to meet his climate goals. These investments will also need to be complemented by robust executive action.
President Biden must advance domestic action that will reduce US climate pollution. This is our moment for climate action. And this moment will not come again.
